How to get a wi-fi connection while using the new "Pogo Island" game with a nintendo ds lite?

I recently bought the "pogo island" nintendo ds game and now i can't transfer my tokens over to my clubpogo account. when i try to connect using my nintendo ds lite , it detects my router for my internet connection, but when the ds runs the test i receive a message stating that the test failed......CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME? im so addicted to club pogo and i have all the pogo to games for my pc and the ds is my way of playing when im away from home or pc!!!!
