Are chin-ups good to increase biceps?

im pretty skinny and i just got me an iron gym because i want to increase the size of me biceps. When i flex, you cant see my biceps at all and even when i flex its still squishy. If i do 3 sets of 8 pullups every day and then increase (because thats the most i can do) will my biceps become noticeable, bigger, and hard. just tell me if this is sufficient and if not give me some tips.
